European Police Championships in Shooting - Suhl 2019

For the first time in the history of the free state of Thuringia, the state can look forward to organizing the European Police Championships in Shooting (EPM - Shooting). The German Police Sports Board of Trustees (Deutsche Polizeisportkuratorium, DPSK) - as a member of the Union Sportive Des Polices D`Europe (USPE) - is a regular organizer of European Police Championships (EPM). According to the agreement by the Conference of Interior Ministers, the German states are charged with the organization of aforementioned EPC. The operator of the EPC-Shooting 2019 is the Thuringian Police Sports Board of Trustees under the direction of the Sports Commissioner of the Thuringian Police, Chief Superintendent Andreas Röhner.

He and his project team create the organizational conditions necessary for a successful championship. This challenge is readily accepted and the team is already thankful for the support of the departments and facilities at the Thuringian police. The competition will take place from June 17 to 21 in Suhl in the Schießsportanlage Suhl-Friedberg (Sport Shooting Center of Suhl) facility. The participants from many European nations will give the Southern Thuringian town an international flair for a week. After the opening ceremony, which is scheduled to be at the Platz der Deutschen Einheit (Square of German unification), the competition for the awards of "Best male shot", "Best female shot", and "Best team" will begin.
